Yoga styles

Hatha

Hatha is the general term for the word ‘yoga’.  It is a systematic practice of physical exercise, breath control and relaxation. By moving at your own pace within the practice you will incorporate pranayana, asanas and meditation, standing, seated and lying . Hatha is accessible to all or with modifications.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by stringing the asanas (yoga postures) together, so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Often referred to as ‘Flow Yoga’ because this involves moving at a faster pace and requires greater breath control.

Kundalini

Kundalini enhances your practice by promoting more self-awareness and inner stillness.  Uncoiling the energy lying dormant at the base of the spine by working through the Chakras. Each Kriya (sequence), often practised with your eyes closed, allows the energy to rise giving us increased energy and vitality.
